PROGRAM: Optimizing Thermal Energy Management with Modular On-Demand Boiler Systems
Thermal energy systems represent some of the most significant energy consumers in commercial & industrial facilities, responsible for as much as 40% of total energy consumption.  In addition, on-site emissions from these systems account for a large percentage of their overall carbon footprint.

Optimizing energy management of thermal energy systems has been constrained by the preponderance of aged/ obsolete boilers in operation for heating & process applications in the U.S. and this is compounded by the lack of innovation in boiler technology to address the innate weaknesses in their design to handle the variability in load demands placed upon them.

Emerging technologies such as Miura’s modular, on-demand boiler systems have the potential to play a significant part in updating lagging performance in the commercial/industrial thermal energy sector by leveraging design features that are more closely aligned with sound energy management BEST PRACTICES rather than constrained by the limitations of aged/obsolete technologies.

The scheduled presentation will illustrate the challenges/opportunities to thermal energy efficiency in U.S. commercial/industrial sector and how state-of-the-shelf technologies such as modular, on-demand boiler systems can significantly enhance energy management to optimize heating & process applications for reduced energy consumption and environmental impact.

Jason is celebrating 2 years with Miura North America directing energy & environmental initiatives with a focus on energy efficiency advocacy, education & market transformation in the area of thermal energy systems.

Jason currently chairs the Energy Efficiency Deployment Sub-committee of the Department of Energy’s ITP Steam Systems BEST PRACTICES Steering Committee and is an active member of the following organizations devoted to energy efficiency & sustainability: ESC, ACEEE, ASE, IDEA, APPA, ASHE, AEE & USGBC.
